This early morning, my beloved dog died. Initially, I performed CPR and brought her back to life, but she ended up passing away some time later at the vet clinic. With the enormous hole I am carrying with me, I cannot stop thinking about death, as I always do whenever it occurs in my life. The point, I think, is that we will all come to that, no matter what, so we have to decide what to do with this impending specter staring at us, waiting for its moment. You can be scared and use your time cowardly, without meaning, or feel blessed by how rare this little flash of light that is life is, and use it as a fear repellent that can drive you toward a greater purpose, something that makes this life worth living. Be optimistic, and enlighten life with more.

In the end, we will rest.
